BOOST PANTRY

ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY
FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS

BOOST Pantry provides early childhood educators facing financial hardship with one-time $400 grocery store gift cards to help address immediate food insecurity.

For teachers navigating an unexpected financial crisis, something as simple as buying groceries can become a source of overwhelming stress. BOOST Pantry helps ensure educators can put food on the table for themselves and their families while they work toward stabilizing their situation.

Our Impact So Far

Shortly after launching teacher applications in July 2024, BOOST quickly recognized another critical need affecting early educators: food insecurity. While many teachers were seeking support for housing, transportation, or medical emergencies, it became clear that many were also struggling to afford basic groceries. In fact, early childhood educators across the United States face an average living wage gap of 24%, creating ongoing financial strain even outside of unexpected crises.

Recognizing this urgent need, BOOST launched Pantry in August 2024 to provide immediate food assistance to educators facing financial hardship.

Since its launch, BOOST Pantry has already made a meaningful difference:

“I am very grateful for the help of BOOST. It allowed me not to worry where my next meal is coming from. As an early childhood educator, it gets hard sometimes.”
